Rumena is a dynamic leader with a clear vision and direction for the charity’s short and long-term strategic delivery, planning, operations, and staff development ensuring these arealigned with New Hope Global’s vision, mission, values, aims & objectives.  Rumena has made significant operational and management changes to the organisation since joining in 2021 including diversifying the team, implementing systems, policies and organisational restructuring achieve outstanding performance for New Hope Global working closely and communicating with the Chairman/Director, Board of trustees, management, operations team, and the beneficiaries.

 

Rumena is an energetic, ambitious, and diligent individual who has acquired extensive knowledge, skills, experience and expertise in project management, consultancy, and service delivery in areas of Health and Wellbeing, Women’s Enterprise, Employment, Training and Heritage.  Women’s empowerment and well-being is very close to her heart and passionate about women accessing a range of opportunities and innovative programmes ensuring the enhancement of women’s development and rights. Rumena a firm believer in partnership working and is a great team player who believes in working together to achieve successful outcomes that make a difference to the people in need. Rumena was a resident of Aston, until 2006 and has worked across Birmingham since 1995 with 28yrs experience, in the third sector, public and private organisations.  She worked for St James Community Support and Advice Centre & Birmingham Settlement, South Birmingham PCT as Area Partnership Manager for Aston for SRB5 and developed The Centre for the Aston Family on Witton Road, Aston.  Rumena worked for Birmingham Community HealthCare Trust on the Surestart/Children’s Centre programmes with Birmingham City Council responsible for managing the health promotion services for under 5 and families strand of 12 children centres in North Birmingham as Area Health Manager including Cherry Tree CC, Lime Tree CC, and Golden Hillock CC. 

 

Rumena led her teams to achieve outstanding from Ofsted for Health and Wellbeing and received Community Health Award for Children Centres. Furthermore, she established and successfully managed her own private businesses which included a creche service, a restaurant, and a project management consultancy business.  Rumena holds a professional management qualification and a range of short courses she has undertaken during her career.
