Juma joined the New Hope Global in August 2020 as a Coordinator of "Championing a Stronger Community" project. Juma believes and trusts working in New Hope will bring out the opportunity to apply her previous skills and experience to make a difference in the local communities as well as in the multi-cultural society in Birmingham, including global arena.
Juma started her career in 1996 gaining substantial skills and ability to interpret economic, social and policy information for individuals and respected authorities, agencies, partners, and stakeholders. She has worked with individuals and groups at grassroot level and also in the wider organisational context of committees, sub- committees and elected representatives locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
She has undertaken various forms of in-house training including health and safety at workplace, Equal opportunities, recruitment and selection, staff development including Covid-19 procedures for the organisations. She has ability to manage complex and matrix structure effectively, looking at the organisational structure development furthermore.
As the project coordinator, her role is to plan organise motivate staff evaluate direct control and lead the project from start to finish. She is keen to distinguish between needs and demand and considers the priority needs and capable of taking under pressure of workload and maintaining a warm personality and sense of humour.
