Bangladeshi Urban and Rural Heritage: Stories and Games

Festival

New Hope organised a Festival on “Bangladeshi Urban and Rural Heritage: Stories and Games” on 9th March 2017. The festival has seen the delivery partners, stakeholders and the beneficiaries in the occasion. The Chair of the West Midlands Committee of Heritage Lottery Fund Mrs Sue Beardsmore and other dignitaries attended the festival with great enthusiasm. In her speech, Sue Beardsmore spoke of her extreme satisfaction for the work done by New Hope on the project. She also emphasised more work on the community benefits by all charity organisations. Among the guests were Birmingham NHS Trust Chairman Tom Storrow, representative from Brooks Charity Solutions Philip Brooks, Professor Ataur Bilal of Aston University, Abu Nowshed of Abu and Abu Accountants, community activist Mr. Zahid Chowdhury, Syed Jamshed Ali and others. Mr Muhammed Foiz Uddin MBE, Chairman of New Hope Birmingham presided over the festival. The Project Coordinator Maruf Ahmed highlighted the successes and different other aspects of the project. At the end of the festival, guests enjoyed the documentary on the project work and oral history interview during the biriyani lunch.
